Business overview:

BJ Ball Group is the No. 1 distributor of paper and packaging products in Australasia.  The Group is the result of the merger of BJ Ball (the largest paper and packaging merchant in New Zealand), Focus Paper (Australia’s fourth largest paper merchant) and the previously ASX-listed CPI Group (the largest paper merchant in Australia, including Boomerang and Raleigh Paper).

Investment overview:

Buy-out of BJ Ball (in partnership with BJ Ball Management), followed by acquisitions of Focus Paper and CPI Group, in execution of a strategy to consolidate the Australasian paper market.  Following these acquisitions, Maui Capital holds a ~71% share in the BJ Ball Group.
