Brent Lawgun

Brent is an Executive Director of Maui Capital and an Investment Committee member of the Maui Capital Indigo Fund.

Brent brings extensive experience in private equity, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance and law.

Prior to co-founding Maui Capital, Brent was a Director of Private Equity at Goldman Sachs JBWere (2002 – 2007), where he managed the firm's private equity activities in New Zealand, including the Hauraki Private Equity No. 1 and No. 2 Funds.

Brent is a past director of a number of companies including Hirepool, Norfolk (NZ), Masport, A & G Price and New Zealand Insulators, and was previously a Council Member of the New Zealand Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (2004-2009). He began his working career as a corporate lawyer.

Brent holds a Bachelor of Commerce (in Finance), a Bachelor of Laws, and a Master of Laws (Honours).
